We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Life Cycle Manager.
The Resource Industries (RI) Lifecycle Manager (LCM) position in PSLD Undercarriage Product Group is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the most significant elements to grow Caterpillar services to $28B. The Life Cycle Manager is responsible to manage the portfolio of growth projects in the Enterprise Component Strategy (ECS) for RI Undercarriage. The incumbent will also be responsible for supporting strategies to ensure the profitability of the aftermarket parts business.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Coordinate and liaise with field aftermarket sales teams globally to develop, execute and govern winning commercial strategies for the RI Undercarriage business
Program manager for RI UC growth portfolio, assuring projects align to transformation office and services NPI gates/governance processes, and tracking KPIs and milestone progress
Provide leadership for RI UC Commercial Consultants and Service Engineers, engage and coach project leads to drive and execute on growth projects, assure alignment with services NPI and CPI processes and vertical services development groups.
Lead for RI UC lost opportunity understanding and analysis by segment, model, region, etc
Develop material for leadership and vertical report outs on RI UC growth projects.
Coordinate quarterly leadership business reviews with key MBD partners
Provide commercial input to the monthly S&OP cycle to help assure product availability
Influence UC design groups and MBD partners to align design decisions to focus on aftermarket growth
Basic Qualifications:
College or university degree or equivalent experience
8+ years of progressively responsible job-related experience
Extensive project leadership experience
Previous supervisory experience
This position requires a broad company background and experience in engineering / product development and/or deep experience with aftermarket commercial strategies
Top candidates will also have:
Master’s Degree
Undercarriage component experience
Mining industry understanding
Experience working within the enterprise matrix, engaging multiple Business Divisions to achieve enterprise goals
Strong understanding and experience working with dealer and marketing operations and commercial strategies
Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues or persuade others inside and outside the organization to take specific actions
Additional Information:
This position does offer relocation.
This position requires 30% or less travel.
