This is a site technical position that performs planning and implementation of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on all equipment under the scope of contract. This person reports to the Senior Contract Manager who leads other technicians in the performance of their work to maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, Security & Environment compliance and manages the technical integrity of the Covered Equipment.

Accountabilities for this position includes

• Be fully conversant and ensure compliance with Solar and customer HSSE policies and procedures. Ensure that personnel under his control adhere to the work permit system at all times. Oversee pre-work, toolbox meetings and table any potential safety issues relating to work being performed; identify potential hazards. Evaluate, recommend and where appropriate implement safety improvements.
• Execute Maintenance activities, scheduling and the implementation of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on gas turbines, power generation, compression and mechanical drive sets and associated balance of plant systems.
• Perform day to day maintenance activity. Plan and allocate work in a way that minimize equipment downtime, lost production and makes the best use of the manpower resources available while observing all relevant HSSE precautions.
• Interfaces with customer & MMS Lead Tech. on a daily basis.  Communicates equipment status and future maintenance plans. Implement maintenance procedures and make recommendations for improvements where appropriate.
•  Maintain the integrity of all equipment under the scope of the contract, liaise with OEM’s when troubleshooting complex technical issues, provide technical guidance and support for subordinates. Ensure adherence to manufacturer's recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering will be preferred. 
• 3 - 5 years relevant experience with rotating equipment (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Controls)

Preferred Qualifications

Should have proven capability in the development, analysis and optimization of maintenance schedules, plans, procedures and costs. Knowledge of predictive maintenance and Reliability Center Maintenance techniques would be an advantage. Strong leadership, creativity, communication and organizational skills are required along with the ability to contribute in a dynamic team environment A high productivity level and sense of urgency, strong verbal and written communication skills, good business judgment, willingness to travel, and a customer focused approach. A high level of computer literacy. Proven track record of safety compliance/improvement
