As a Logistics Engineer, you will be responsible for providing direct engineering support for the Logistics functions within the East Peoria facility. A Logistics Engineer 3 is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of all related logistics processes, machinery & equipment, storage concepts, in addition to responsibilities of participating and/or leading logistics related projects.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Engages in creative problem solving to address operational issues including ergonomic/ safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, quality concerns
  • Works with internal and external suppliers to develop and manage projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective systems and processes to produce quality products
  • Coordinates, plans, monitors and reports the activities associated with the flow analysis, design, financial modeling and implementation of complex logistics/supply chain processes
  • Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc. in performing assigned duties
  • Provides logistics technical support in process control and internal certification
  • Ensure production processes are designed and capable of meeting current and future plans
  • Develops, analyzes and manages Logistics/Manufacturing/ Assembly Projects.  Assists in developing department capital and expense budgets
  • Identify business risk due to equipment obsolescence
  • Creates and maintains Plan for Every Part (PFEP)
  • Work action items coming from Customer and operations quality or improvement CAR’s
  • Review, create, and sustain standard work and operations SFMEA for improvements
  • RSSM, Mach 1 Bin creation/modification, Mach 1 warehousing configuration

This position does not offer relocation.
This position requires 10% or less travel.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, candidates are required to have 3 years of experience as a Team Lead in Manufacturing or Logistics environment while currently pursuing degree
Top Candidates will also have:
  • Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing, manufacturing operations processes, materials and/or quality
  • APICS CPIM, CLTD certifications
  • Powered Industrial Truck operation experience
  • Mach 1 Power User
  • Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers
  • 6 sigma greenbelt desired
