As an Engineering Team Leader you will serve as the Undercarriage (UC) team lead for the Large Hydraulic Excavator Undercarriage, managing and directing the UC NPI & CPI activities to ensure successful integration, design requirements, and performance of the UC to meet the NPI deliverables.   This position will work with UC component designers in the development of the LHEX UC as well as perform some design tasks themselves to ensure achievement of program goals.  This will involve international travel (post COVID) for face to face meetings to review technical issues and to present updates on NPI status.  The scope of this work covers all Moving UC components; track, rollers, idlers, and sprockets for Large HEX.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the multiple HEX UC NPI programs that will feed the Machine NPI programs
  • Lead Design and Gate Reviews
  • Collaborate Design activities between both teams (UC in Peoria and HEDC in Japan and China)
  • Provide UC System Design requirements
  • Perform UC System Design activities
  • CPPD work with internal and external suppliers (APQP, PPAP…)
  • Coordination for validation (machine, lab, & virtual)
  • Project management

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • 6 + years of Engineering experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven team leadership skills
  • Knowledge and experience with CREO
 

Top candidates will also have:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Knowledge of NPI process
  • Knowledge of UC system design and components
  • Systems integration experience
  • Familiarity with Design process
 
 
Additional Information:

This position does not offer relocation.

This position requires 15% or less travel.
