The Construction Industries Services Division has an
exciting opportunity for a Director Marketing, Retail Services (internally
titled Retail Services Development Manager). This position is responsible to
develop and execute a strategy that reflects the CI Retail segment resulting in
worldwide aftermarket services growth.
Additionally, as a Director Marketing, Retails Services at
Caterpillar, you will lead a team of marketing experts responsible to establish
key marketing strategies focused on the retail segment and lead the integration
of product and services offers into complete customer value propositions.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include
but are not limited to:
and maintain effective Caterpillar internal partner relationships, dealer
relationships, Industry Organization memberships and customer
high-level relationships with business decision makers and identify
business needs and problems
prioritize and implement strategies to address retail customer needs as
well as securing commitment of Caterpillar and Dealer resources to assure
continued customer satisfaction and increased sales
integrated services offers for the Retail segment by region, including
Customer Value Agreements (Point of Sale, Renewals and New offerings) and
customer self-serve maintenance & repair strategies for developed and
Retail Services price positioning and develop Retail customer journeys for
customer data quantity and quality with partners and dealers for direct
Industry-specific Go To Market channels
dealer training for Retail aftermarket segment.
- Own the
communication channels & engaging content for Retail segment, driving
prioritized service events for the segment.
campaign calendar, fund and execute campaigns for Retail including digital
and physical communication/promotion and in region social media platforms
e-commerce platform requirements and online sales campaigns and events for
CI Retail customers
extensively to develop a deep understanding of the end-user’s business and
their unmet needs and establish customer-focused operational roadmap for
products, distribution and marketing processes, etc.

- Lead a
team of 30-40 CI Retail Services Development Marketing experts, immersing
themselves in the Retail segment, assimilating market requirements, market
trends, customer data and to formulate, document and implement creative
short and long-term plans required to support the integrated services
strategy and serve as the champion and work cross functionally within
various CAT teams.
- Requires a college or
university degree or equivalent experience.
- 10-15 years of
progressively responsible job-related experience is required.
- A strong background and
experience in aftermarket and marketing is essential.
- Previous experience and
understanding of Retail customer segment is required.
- Must have demonstrated
proven record of skills such as the ability to meet goals, interpersonal
relationships, communications, as well as leadership and personnel
