Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can use your quick, impactful decision-making skills in driving projects forward?  If the answer is YES, then we have an excellent career opportunity for you to join the Americas Marketing Innovations team in the Global Construction and Infrastructure (GCI) Division at Caterpillar as a seasoned Marketing Consultant.  In this role you will layout of strategies that encompasses all the criteria and requirements provided by the stakeholders.   You will need to quickly think on your feet, providing quick reaction with confidence in your decisions while being flexible and nimble enough to “Roll with the punches” but have the fortitude to stand by your decisions.

In this role you will be responsible for the Experiential / Customer Experience Marketing Communications Strategy in Americas Regions,   in support of 2 major functions: 1) Drive experiential initiatives including dealer event strategy for New Product Introductions (NPI) & Customer Experience activities for lead generation, sales conversation, and service growth; 2) Disruptive marketing communication strategy for product / technology / services promotion via physical & virtual customer experience including major tradeshows.  

 

In support of experiential initiatives including dealer event strategy, you can expect to:

  • Develop  regional physical / virtual event plans, budget management, campaign development, and dealer engagement.
  • Understand and leverage key customer experience marketing strategies such as communication strategy, contents strategy, lead generation, branding, marketing analytics, positioning, media optimization for each experiential initiatives .
  • Support and develop  dealers marketing teams around the Americas regions  who will ultimately execute marketing plan and physical / virtual event strategies.
 

In support of the disruptive marketing communication strategy (including major tradeshows , you will:

  • Lead  the development of content strategies and design end to end tradeshow experience / customer journey strategies for the key Business Units across Construction Industries.
  • Manage internal & external agency relations including budget.
  • Customer segmentation includes industries such as road construction, quarry & aggregates, general construction.
  • Support strategic direction bringing product, technology, and services together.
 
 
Overall, you can expect to:

  • Leads large regional projects and work with stakeholders across Business Units to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Business.
  • At least 9 years’ progressively responsible experience relevant to this role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the marketing communications discipline.
  • Must have strong writing and presentation skills and examples of successful
communication strategies and results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to deal with issues crossing boundaries or persuade others inside or outside the organization to take action.
  • Strong organizational, planning, project & budget management and communication skills.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
 
This position requires up to 15% travel.
 
Top candidates will also bring:
  • Experiential Marketing
  • Experience with working with dealers for marketing initiatives execution and dealer development.
  • Customer / dealer event execution product, technology and services launch or showcasing the tangible hands on experience
  • CRM software such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Eloqua.
  • Global projects experience.
  • An understanding of construction industry, products, technologies, services and its customers.
  • An ability to apply customer insights, research, analytics to customer experience strategies.
  • Caterpillar (or other OEM / Manufacture Marketing) field or dealer experience.
  • Marketing Creative Agency experience and/or management of projects with creative agencies.
 
 

Relocation assistance is available for this position however, remote based work may be considered.
