Caterpillar's Large Power Solutions Division is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor in Mapleton, IL.
Lead the environmental and sustainability strategy
Supervise the on-site EHS Supervisor (environmental)
Contributes to successful project completion by participating in the resolution of issues, Technical objectives, unsuitability of standard procedures, and difficult coordination requirements.
Coordinates project activities with operating and other technical units to facilitate participation of appropriate resources in project completion
Studies and recommends unique solutions to specific problem areas
Assists in determining project objectives to contribute to the development of a comprehensive program
Maintains a working knowledge of current regulations and participants in representation with outside agencies
Adept at performing management system assessments
Leads EHS audit teams, including driving RCCA
Collaborate with internal customer, Seal Rings
Lead In-depth projects that could involve in federal and state regulations/rules on air, portable water, wastewater, waste, storm water, spill control and chemical management
Title V permitting/reporting
USEPA/IEPA/IDPH/Homeland Security inspections
Top Candidates will also have:
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate scientific discipline
(EHS, science) with a minimum of 2 years EHS experience; No Bachelor’s
degree requires 7-10 years of EHS experience
- Title V permitting/reporting experience
- Requires a self-starter with strong technical and
- Ability to influence and motivate others
- Build and maintain inclusive relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills,
including public speaking
- Desire to lead change
- Environmental experience within a manufacturing
Location of this position is in Mapleton, IL
