Incumbent will be a part of a global commercial team responsible for growth in sales of aftermarket technology parts & kits. This person will also spearhead Digital marketing material development activities like developing a marketing site/ tools.
This role play a critical role in helping achieve our services growth goals. Incumbent must demonstrate creativity, foresight, product support, marketing/distribution knowledge as well as sensitivity to customer financial impact.
This position provides support in areas including NPI, Market and Distribution Needs, Customer and Dealer education, and Sales Execution.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
§ Collaborating with Aftermarket Enhancements commercial team to identify and fill product gaps and promote aftermarket products.
§ Partner with Cat Dealers to drive awareness, education and understand specific industry needs to drive customer centric culture.
§ Grow Market Access with Dealers who have High Lost opportunity of Major Class 8 parts.
§ Gather competitive intelligence from Industry teams, dealers, Competitive Analysis team and other sources and consolidating within covered scope (feedback into the global commercial team)
§ Support the development of all technical marketing publications by providing associated content.
§ Collect voice of the customer (VOC), voice of the business (VOB), voice of the expert (VOE) then prioritize and share with the global team for both product strategy and NPI program execution.
§ Support and execute marketing of New Product Introductions (NPI) swim lanes and aid Go-To-Market strategy.
§ Employee may also be responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned.
§ Ability and willingness to travel globally.
§ Prior experience working with Caterpillar dealers
§ Sales & marketing experience
§ Experience working with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.
§ Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing or Engineering degree preferred).
§ The position requires extensive product marketing commercial / technical experience (5 to 15 years), with a good working understanding of the needs of customers, dealers, and industries and product groups.
§ More than 3 years of field experience or equivalent experience in a field facing role with significant dealer and/or customer engagement (Preferably with a focus on digital & technology products).
§ Product knowledge, NPI process understanding and experience working price/value analysis and disconnects.
§ Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
§ Previous industry / product experience, MBA or equivalent, multiple language capabilities are all preferred.
