As a Parts Pricing & Review Technician you will translate customer hose assembly requirements into BOMs for our facility.  You will provide prices and quotes for all our customers, both Caterpillar companies and OEMs. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Review Cat engineering prints to create the BOMs and job routings for hose assemblies for our Menominee, MI facility.
  • Review prints and technical data for OEM prints and translate into the correct hose and coupling configurations.
  • Work closely with customer service, internal Caterpillar customers and external OEM customers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of quotes and that customer needs are being met.
  • Appropriately price parts based on pricing tables and analyze prices of similar parts to decide if the calculated price is reasonable and competitive or if it should be revised.
  • Complete formal pricing quotes to be sent to customers.
  • Verify part setup and technical information for operations and quality departments.
  • Work with the appropriate accounting, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing and customer service groups to obtain technical data, costing information, etc required to complete your work.
  • Load all applicable pricing data into the appropriate pricing databases, including SAP and AS400.
  • Organize systems data for price reviews, run the appropriate program to analyze pricing actions and enter any necessary price revisions into the data base.
  • Review pricing formulae for propriety and propose revised and/or new pricing formulae as needed.
  • Other projects and tasks as needed including mass uploads and end-of-year costing review.
  • Confer with the pricing manager to receive guidance and training related to parts pricing techniques and part setup.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years previous Engineering or Manufacturing experience to be able to interpret Engineering drawings and become knowledgeable of Manufacturing operations.
  • Must be able to function independently when using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)

This position does not offer relocation
This position requires no travel.
