Description

 The Dealer Digital Strategist creates and drives the digital dealer communication strategy, vision, and roadmap of business capabilities and the dealer marketing experience. This role is cross-functional and will work closely with business, dealer experience, technology, and leadership teams to envision, develop and implement digital dealer experiences. The Dealer Digital Strategist is both creative and analytical, able to work effectively in a matrix organization, adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into dealer experiences. The Dealer Digital Strategist is dealer focused and technology savvy with a proven track record of designing and implementing successful experiences across technology platforms.


Job Duties / Responsibilities
  1. Envision the future of Cat dealer digital communications, including enabling our dealers to quickly solve customer problems
  2. Gain a deep understanding of our dealer communication needs, their behaviors to develop an informed marketing process and support customer needs
  3. Develop, validate, and drive the digital experience roadmap that identifies where we will focus, how we will get there, and the sequence of activities required to meet our business goals and digital dealer experience objectives
  4. Leverage dealer and business knowledge and apply it in conjunction with our business strategy
  5. Apply dealer research and recognize digital trends, assessing applicability to dealer digital needs and determining impact to roadmap
  6. Possess a good understanding of user experience practices and be a thought-leader in delivering an intentional digital dealer journey
  7. Analyze web analytics for insights to assist in making recommendations 
  8. Collaborate with others in the digital organization and the business to define objectives and develop approaches to solving challenges 
  9. Translate business objectives into action plans to drive dealer and customer engagement through digital interactions
  10. Champion design thinking across the organization
  11. Drive organization change management for dealer needs and digital capabilities. 
  12. Foster a work environment that is collaborative and nurtures innovation
  13. Communicate and partner effectively across the organization to ensure that the team is aligned to the business objectives and can do the job effectively
  14. Build strong inter-personal relationships with peers and other key stakeholders that can ensure smooth execution
 
 

Additional Information:

  • No relocation assistance will be provided for this role
  • Peoria, IL is the preferred location, however, we will consider remote candidates on a case by case basis for this role. 
  • Depending upon location of candidate,  travel may be up to 25%

                            


Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 - 7 years of progressively responsible digital job experiences
  • Experience with distributed dealer organization, dealer communications and marketing processes
  • Experience working on large/complex digital marketing initiatives
  • Strong dealer/customer focus
 

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Experience in working with a user experience team
  • Experience with Caterpillar Dealer organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, presentational, analytical, and literacy skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills across a matrixed organization and at multiple levels of the organization while achieving consensus toward a strategy
  • Experience with digital technology and systems
  • Experience with large brands/complex organizations
  • Desired experience with Adobe Experience Manager or equivalent content platform
