12 Month Industrial Placement – Global Manufacturing Engineering & Technology (GMET)
Salary: £17,500 plus share scheme, pension, flexible working and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).

What is the role?
As a member of the Global Manufacturing Engineering & Technology (GMET) team primarily based in Peterborough near Cambridge, you will be working as part of a highly focused team of Engineers, Technologists and Analysts. The projects you will be involved with concern new “growth” areas such as new product introduction, value-adding manufacturing solutions, production and efficiency optimisation, waste reduction, and product qualification. You’ll become knowledgeable about our developing technologies, the quality systems that surround our manufacturing processes and learn to work with people at all levels of the organisation and across our global manufacturing facilities. Who are we looking for?
You should be able to demonstrate teamwork, have strong communication skills that can be applied to all levels of the business and be self-motivated with an enthusiasm for engineering and technology. You should enjoy the investigative study of problems and consider outside of the box solutions. Knowledge in the application of design packages (AutoCAD, Creo), 3D printing, tooling and fixture design as well as an appreciation of PLC software is desirable.
A predicted 2:2 Honours degree or equivalent preferably in a STEM subject, examples include but are not limited to the following:
