Description

As the Machine Pricing Sales Variance Reporting and Forecasting Supervisor, you will have an opportunity to lead a team by training, management, and directing analysts providing central support for global marketing sales variance forecasting/reporting.


Responsible for the P&L marketing sales variance forecast model and output.  Duties included preparing and communicating monthly global forecast, detailing what is causing changes in outlook cycle over cycle, explaining results as well as communicating updates for forecast data and root causes to a wide variety of stakeholders including executive leadership.


Work closely with merchandising and product pricing teams to collect, summarize, evaluate, and communicate monthly marketing sales variance forecast detail.  Maintain data models used to aggregate forecast input and summarize detailed explanations for monthly changes. Provide consistent views of the detail that can be used to further evaluate proposed changes and scenario views.


Work with the pricing data & technology team to ensure forecast data is integrated with machine pricing systems and is consistent with actual sales variance reporting as well as revise methodology of metrics including but not limited to Extrapolated Sales Variance and Price Action by utilizing by Tableau Dashboards.


Work with product pricing partners to align the commercial sales variance forecast as an input to the monthly P&L sales variance forecast process and Corporate Accounting Post Sale Credit Accrual calculations.


Work to develop & understand Net Price Realization results and outlook by leading training for internal pricing groups and business partners on sales variance analysis well as leading projects focused on Machine Pricing and/or Merchandising Group process improvements.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree concentrated in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or related fields. 
  • The position requires prior experience as a Revenue/Pricing Analyst or equivalent level job in a management role in Accounting, Finance or related field. 
  • 8+ years of job-related experience.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:
  • Experience or knowledge of Machine sales variance
  • Knowledge of the Corporate Machine post-sale accrual process
  • Previous exposure to Net Price Realization
  • Ability to confront unique and complex issues or problems, which require careful analysis, diagnosis and often innovative solutions. 
  • Ability to set priorities and establish a work plan in order to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results
  • Must have strong analytical ability and initiative, be results oriented, have a high level of interpersonal skills and be an effective writer and oral communication
  • Strong personal computer skills with experience in Tableau, Power BI, and/or Power Query
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and train others
