As a Part Time Supply Chain Performance Engr you will coach/lead project teams involving material suppliers and facility Supply Chain personnel to increase supplier capability. Coaches / leads lean events to deliver tools, processes and expertise to Cat’s suppliers to enable them to replenish material to Caterpillar pull trigger systems and develop the supplier plan for every part.

Job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with all functional areas to deliver tools, processes and expertise to Caterpillar’s suppliers
  • Verify and improve supplier capacity and delivery performance
  • Ensure supplier interaction with facility packaging to optimize presentation and timeliness of parts to manufacturing line
  • Work with other functional areas to ensure suppliers to replenish material to Caterpillar pull trigger systems
  • Improve supply chain throughput from the source of supply to the point of use
  • Support improved supplier capacity planning
  • Support supplier efforts to improve key performance indicators
  • Identify, Prioritize, Communicate, and Mitigate significant risks to supply in Specialty Products



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or
  • 5 years of experience as a supply chain performance engineer


Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Experience working with Caterpillar suppliers

This position does not offer relocation

This position requires 25% or less travel.
