The Global Marketing Director, Resources Industries (internally labeled Global Marketing Manager and reporting to General Manager, Mining Center of Excellence) will provide leadership to worldwide Resource Industries and it dealers marketing teams involving machines, services, aftermarket and product support for Resource Industries. Direct reports: 8-12 management personnel, indirectly leading 20+ management employees.
You will lead a highly energized team to formulate global marketing strategies for both surface and underground, product marketing including aftermarket, technology, reman and services. This role will also provide global leadership to digital marketing, big data analytics, and a focus on customers sites to grow services and solutions business.
Leading a global team to collect and analyze competitive marketing information, developing strategies and actions to position RI products and services
Partnering with product management teams, corporate marketing teams, dealers and customers to develop marketing strategies that support enhanced customer experience
Collaborating with Communication to develop strategies for internal and external stakeholders
Overseeing marketing teams, customer visits, major events, customer surveys, digital marketing and big data analytics
Establishing a joint marketing plan with dealers focused on customer experience at each site level with product and services
Implementing Net Promoter Score at customer sites, strategic accounts and dealers
Establishing lean processes and in value chain marketing plans to support growth plans
Creating PUSH communications via social media platforms
Developing plans and metrics to link marketing spend and investment to customer satisfaction and business growth
Implementing improvements based on value stream mapping and big data analytics
Creating proactive business and marketing plans for products, dealers, regions and customers with monthly agreed KPI and reporting cadence
Supporting process partners to grow aftermarket sales and services, solutions and technology business
Conducting global competitive studies for products and services to enhance programs and value selling processes with partners
Creating and executing marketing plans for Product Changes (including NPI) to support growth
Supporting digital marketing, technical selling, presentations, and performance benchmarking
Developing team members for future opportunities. Responsible for recruiting, training and developing talent pipeline for each Product SME to sustain and grow selling capabilities
A college or university degree is required
Experience building relationships in a global, matrixed organization
Minimum of 15 years’ experience of progressive product and customer facing
Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading a global, high-performing team
Proven innovation in Digital Marketing
Creation and execution of large-scale results for Marketing
Executive presence with interpersonal skills
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Ideal candidates will have a Master or MBA degree to support business strategies and deeper understanding of financials
Working knowledge of mining/construction products, dealer networks, product applications, sales process, and deal management processes to support mining and construction industries customers
Experience with Dealerships
The preferred location for this role is Tucson, AZ - Mining Center or Deerfield, IL. Relocation assistance will be provided to those eligible.
