We are currently seeking a Simulation Senior Engineer to join the newly formed Advanced Powered Products Team focused on designing, developing and validating a range of battery pack and systems for a variety of Caterpillar and 3rd Party applications. The successful candidate will serve as an experienced, individual contributor on projects and assignments that are complex in nature, working with individuals and teams across multiple business units both in the UK and US.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
As a Senior Simulation Engineer you will be involved in developing, validating and using 1D battery models within an exciting and diverse Product Team. These 1D models will include electrical, thermal and state-of-health models to represent battery behaviour and will be used to help design the battery packs and systems, evaluate control system strategies, and applied within complete machine or sub-system models.
