The Product Support & Logistics Division currently has an opening for a Distribution Consultant on the Strategy, Planning, & Policy team. The Distribution Consultant will be responsible for leading projects supporting both internal and external relationship management and supporting the implementation of network-wide projects and the execution of global policy standardization. This position will work daily with both internal business partners, including the Distribution Services Divisions, Inventory Management, I.T. and Parts Operations, and external dealer business partners


Job Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Create strategic relationship management framework linking PSLD distribution strategy to the needs of the business and dealers aligned with company’s growth goals. Maintain and foster strategic alignment between Distribution Services Division and PSLD.

  • Drive the strategy and deployment of relationship management system within PSLD Parts Distribution to improve information availability

  • Manage department-wide projects and drive execution to accomplish division level goals

  • Champion execution against global plan to develop and maintain standards and processes relating to policy execution and PSLD relationship management.

  • Link business needs to systems strategy and work to develop a plan to link critical business processes

  • Harmonize data to support structured information sharing including the development of executive dashboards and a standard reporting cadence

  • Develop robust process for project sharing and alignment across Parts Distribution and support the development and communication of an aligned strategy



Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible job-related experience in the parts supply chain, parts operations, transportation, inventory management, or involving regular dealer interactions.

  • Broad industry knowledge as well as an excellent understanding of Parts Supply.

  • Comfortable gathering, interpreting, and presenting data to high-level management

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Process development and improvement experience 
Top candidates will also have:
  • Advanced degree from an accredited university.
  • Experienced skill set in the principals of change management, strong interpersonal and commercial skills, ability to work across multiple layers within the organization and with multiple business partners.

  • Ability to work and set priorities day-to-day supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, systems, and processes
  • Experience in advanced data analysis techniques such as R, Python, or SQL

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau

  • Experience with Salesforce Relationship Management system implementation

This position requires 20% or less travel.
