Job Description


As a Sales & Operations Planning Coordinator, you will be accountable for developing and improving the Supply Planning system and process tools within the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process across reciprocating engine industry groups. You will also, advocate, enable and drive improvements in the Supply Planning process, working with key process partners to deliver products profitably to the marketplace.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Owner of the Supply Planning system and process tools across reciprocating engine industry groups, including providing oversight for S&OP process conformance 

* Develop and deliver highly complex Supply Planning system and process solutions 
* Review and manage the data to ensure it is correct and that demand signals, including both short and long-term forecasts are clear and accurate inputs to the Supply Planning system 
* Drive improvements in the supply meetings and the pre S&OP meetings across facilities
* Make significant process recommendations based on their expertise, analyzes data, ensures stakeholders understand and are informed about changes and impacts 
* Provide supporting facts, data and statistics that depend on their understanding of forecasts and all other inputs to the process 
* Accountable to champion an enterprise point of view in Supply Planning execution using systems and process tools
* Subject matter expert on Supply Planning and will be called upon to work projects that improve Supply Planning processes and tools

* Accountable to ensure key process and tool meetings are scheduled, held and driven to decision, with action items identified and delivered upon 
* Make recommendations for S&OP Metrics Targets and monitors process performance 
* Ensure Supply Planning process support teams within all involved functional groups are adequately trained on process and tools to conduct their role within the S&OP Process


Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain 
* Minimum of 4 years experience either within facility Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or in S&OP process execution within or outside of Caterpillar

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

* Prior experience as a CPS Black Belt or advanced experience and knowledge about CPS principles, specifically those applied to Sales and Operations planning and supply chain planning 
* Advanced expertise in using Power Point, Excel, R programming / SAS programming, data analytics, data visualizations, and statistical forecasting 
* Possess strong collaborative and interpersonal skills in order to support a common Supply Planning process across multiple reciprocating engine facilities 
* Excellent decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop and advocate for recommendations on Supply Planning process and tools across process partners 
* Demonstrated leadership to enforce process discipline across process partners 
* Strong ability to deal with uncertainty, ambiguity and be agile
* 5 to 7 years of experience in Scheduling, Production Scheduling, Master Scheduling, Supply Planning, facility Demand Management or Analyst
