Warehouse Supervisor

 

Main function: Supervise a team of warehouse personnel to ensure the provision of a professional incoming goods, storage and dispatch service to customers, encompassing both speed and accuracy.

Warehouse supervisor is a Key and Fundamental role at Caterpillar Fluid Systems .

Role responsibilities:

Warehouse Supervisor is in charge of managing internal warehouse with an organization of 10-15 people.

Plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner to achieve team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as determined by the Supply Chain Management.

Main activities are related to:

-     Shipment preparation with invoice and all related documents preparation and management

-          Receiving process from suppliers (main suppliers are for RM for hose manufacturing and hose       assembly)
-      Be responsible for ensuring that the quality of the product and service within the Warehouse           is  maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.


-      Responsible for driving Standard Work and ensuring quality processes are implemented to  

             ensure shipments to the customer are aligned with their expectation;
-      IRA management and Inventory Accuracy (monthly checks with interaction with       

             Finance/Controlling Dept);
-     Support Transportation Organization for all shipments;
-     Raw material deliveries at POU;
-     Hose manufacturing production order consumption before arriving at stock
-     Analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements;
-     Overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision, training &            

            development  and health, safety & welfare of the team.
-     Support customers and suppliers during shipments’ organization;
-     Ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space  allocation,     

             stock transfer and dealing with non-confirming product
-     Implement the company’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and      

            practices within the Warehouse;


Warehouse Supervisor works very closely with all departments at CFS.

Collaborate to improve the raw materials’ flow with Production supervisors of both hose assembly and hose manufacturing.

Collaborate closely with Quality in case of Non-Conformity management.

Collaborate with Finance for all shipping and receiving documents  and for the monthly IRA activities and inventory check at year end.

Collaborate with R&D when materials are needed for trials and tests to support business growth.

Very close collaboration with Customer Service Dept. in order to organize shipments to customers, responding in a timely manner to changes and additions to firm orders.

Collaborate with IT in order to implement all the needed improvements for the use of Barcode and RFID.


Collaborate with Purchasing to manage shipments from suppliers.

Qualifications and Experience Levels:

Engineering Degree


Experience of operating in a supervisory role in similar environment for at least 1-3 years


Good IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills


6Sigma and Lean Tool knowledge are recommended
