Caterpillar currently has an opening for an Operations Team Member supporting the Electric Power Division located at the Griffin, Georgia facility. The Electric Power Division manufactures C32 and 3500 series diesel and gas engines, and manufacturing enclosures serving the following industries: electric power, oil & gas, marine applications and Cat machines around the world.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the day to day activities as they relate to quality on a variety of AMSOL products. The incumbent will follow Caterpillar’s Lean and Built In Quality (BIQ) methodologies in support of the Caterpillars Quality Policy and ensure product compliance per CQMS requirements.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
· Execute daily tasks and assignments as provided by normal routine leadership or working through established procedures.
· Perform inspection standard work in the quality gate workstation.
· Ensure consistent methodology is applied during the execution of standard work for the area to prevent defects from moving to the next process or customer.
· Provide real time communication of defects to the causal areas
· Carry out the monitoring and measurement activities as detailed in the quality gate checklist.
· Perform Random Quality Audits to monitor and validate IPV, Quality Gate, and production process capability.
· Provide non-conformance communication to cross functional teams within and outside the company.
· Perform Inbound quality inspections on parts as directed.
· Manage defective
material following the non-conformance process
· Must be able to work safely and maintain focus throughout the day.
Previous experience in building enclosure product.
Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience with inspection and auditing processes.
Experience reading and understanding factory orders, schematics, work tickets, torque specifications.
One year of previous assembly or troubleshooting/repairing/operating equipment experience
Must be able to work safely and maintain focus throughout the day.
Moderate system proficiency and data input, and the ability to identify, report, and track recurring issues.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Strong aptitude in data management that support the presentation of Quality metrics.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience investigating customer concerns and tracing problems back to the source.
Strong attention to detail in order to communicate daily with
supporting departments as needed to ensure their work is correct and accurate.
Previous experience working within the Caterpillar computer network platforms as they relate to quality. (AQE/TMI/OASIS/PRWB).
Ability to perform tasks under time constraints.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work.

Work may involve frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 10 hours.
Ability to lift 25lbs and withstand frequent repetitive movement of hands with a variety of tooling.
