Job Description:

Utilities Support Technicians will have the responsibility to mechanically troubleshoot and repair various plumbing issues at the LEC, including: sinks, wash basins, faucets, commodes, new installations, and drain clearing of sanitation and IW lines. Individual will also be responsible for restroom and water softener PM's. Individual will assist in performing PM’s on HVAC units and  general lubrication on pumps/valves and mechanical equipment. The Utilities Support Technician will also provide assistance to the Utilities Repairmen to accomplish various “two persons” tasks on equipment within the facility.


Job Requirements: 

This solicitation is not for a utility’s apprenticeship program. Applicant must have industrial plumbing experience. Applicant should possess basic utilities skills with a focus on plumbing and the ability to operate basic tools. The applicant will be required to work at heights, climb ladders, work underground, and in confined spaces. They should be willing to work overtime, such as weekends, holidays and shutdowns. Experience with operation of high pressure drain jetter is desirable. Applicant must possess and show strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate mechanical efficiency and apply customer-based services. 


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Must possess basic utilities skills and the ability to operate basic tools
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
