Cat Digital Analytics is seeking for an Analytics Part-Time Intern.


Analytics Professionals are the data driven, business professionals using quantitative methods such as data analytics, business process modeling, data mining, and advanced statistical techniques to solve problems for internal business partners and external Caterpillar customers.


Work at the Caterpillar data innovation lab will focus on exploration of emerging and disruptive techniques, data-based technologies, as well as advanced analytics technologies, often demonstrated through proof of concept projects. Projects will be forward thinking and at the edge of Caterpillar’s business model. The lab is vibrant, cross-disciplinary work environment designed to stimulate innovation and creative problem solving.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled full time at the University of Illinois - Champaign pursuing a Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree in: Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain, Math, Statistics or related degree

  • Applicants must a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0/4.0 scale (no rounding)

  • Graduation date of December 2021 or beyond

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Interested in pursuing a career in Analytics, Data Science/Mining
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, Python, Angular, Swift, R, Tableau, C++, C#, Java or similar tools
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-Initiative
  • Effective communicator
  • Thrive in a team environment
