The main tasks include:
Project management of strategic Rental Business Development initiatives.
Quantifying PRRO (Percentage of Rental Revenue Opportunity) including market research and overall competitive landscape understanding
Understanding dealer performance gaps in the Rental space
Provide dealers with an overview of the opportunity for profitable participation in Rental
Defining plans to re-engage dealers to go after those opportunities
Articulate dealer organizational, investments, rental system, process and operating requirements
Apply the Rental “recipe” for success depending on the target business model i.e. Rental Services or Dealer Heavy Rents
For those dealers who are explicit regarding their unwillingness to adopt recommended improvements, formulate alternatives for improving territory performance
Evaluate alternatives based on economics, feasibility, and disruption with local dealer
Review recommended alternatives and help define an implementation plan
Support execution of the implementation plan
Demonstrate Caterpillar’s Values in Action, Leadership Attributes and GRUES Leadership Commitments (Communication, Brand, Collaboration, Alignment, Accountability and Positivity).
7+ years of Rental Industry experience (external or Caterpillar) including sales, operations, etc.
Business development experience, commercial and/or finance experience.
Project Management experience or skills
Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver results in a values-based manner
Strong background in dealing with dealers and internal business partners including BCP, GCI, DSD, etc.
Strong team work, communication and persuasion skills
Relevant Industry experience is desirable i.e. machine sales, used equipment, etc.
Having a network and connections within the Rental Industry including country associations
