To develop and support the system solution functionality required as part of IT applications and transformations.
1.) Validate business requirements for multiple process workstreams.
2.) Validate solution design, including proto-typing and configuration for multiple process workstreams.
3.) Validate process documentation as part of the template solution for multiple process workstreams.
4.) Review and approve test plans as required by new content releases or deployments for multiple process workstreams.
5.) Review and approve end user training materials for multiple process workstreams.
6.) Provide level 4 case management support for business process related issues.
The Senior Business Process Consultant role acts a Subject Matter Expert and trusted advisor for multiple process workstreams. Activities include, but are not limited to: 1.) participating in workshops with Process Partners to validate and clarify business requirements for the Mach1 solution, 2.) reviewing and validating solution design, prototypes, configuration, and documentation, 3.) mentoring business process analysts and business process consultants, and 4.) managing “level 4” case management support issues with IT Suppliers for root cause analysis and resolution.
Beyond the completion of their own work, this position will assign and review the day-to-day work of other employees. Incumbent will provide information for performance evaluations but is not solely responsible for personnel issues.
The incumbent’s primary customers are internal. He/she supports a major administrative group that includes two or more Departments. The incumbent supports Caterpillar as a whole including all subsidiaries. This position works with a long-term perspective in addressing the customer's problems. Frequent travel required (<10%).

This job may require the incumbent to lead negotiations on controversial issues or in an adversarial setting, or to persuade groups of people to accept change.
- 10+ years of collective experience in SAP support, enhancement or infrastructure with special emphasis in areas of ERP, Sales & Distribution, Configure, Price, Quote, Order and Invoice.
- 5+ years in a business analyst or technical leadership role.
- Practical experience in SAP ECC 6.0 solution design, delivery and testing.
- Experience coordinating efforts with development teams to translate business requirements and capture necessary test criteria within committed timeframes.
- Working with large international product groups to gather requirements and translate into cost effective SAP/IT solutions.
- Involvement with complex SAP solutions leveraging BAPI, BADI, REST, SOAP, SAML, JSON or IDoc technologies.
- Experience with NetWeaver, S4/HANA, SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Commerce Cloud.
