Responsibilities:

  • Support the Facilities Engineering Manager and is responsible for any technical and Infrastructure issues (HVAC, electrical distribution, fire safety, plumbing, spills, damage, emergencies, repairs etc.) related with the entire facility.
  • Plan, organize and execute all Facilities/ M & E improvement projects and ensure maintenance requirements are always met.
  • Assisting in keeping track of all project variables, manage cash flows, prepare project progress reports and attend all meetings.
  • Prepare proposal, tender, quotation etc. for procurement of services and goods.
  • Check and ensure works are being carried out according to plan and contracts in a timely manner.
  • Managing outsourced service partners and contractors, providing supervision and monitoring their performance
  • Conduct regular inspections for potential safety hazards and unsafe conditions, initiate corrective measures to maintain a secure, safe and healthy work environment (the inspections should include after office hours if need be).
  • Attend to all emergency/crisis and assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
  • Develop and implement policies, protocol and procedures to maintain full compliance with relevant legislative acts and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee operations and the implementation and maintenance of internal systems to ensure protocol are followed and enforced
  • Monitor performance of contractor and facility central services such as security, cleaning, waste disposal and parking.
  • Assist in achieving cost and quality objectives, including energy efficiency optimization at the facility.
  • Monitor expenditures and assist the Facility Manager in preparing facility budget estimates.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Preferred
  • Possess at least 4 years’ experience in M&E/ Facilities project support or management
  • 5-8 years of work experience related to project management, vendor management, building facilities and/or maintenance of manufacturing facility and clean room.
  • Knowledge of facility related regulatory requirements.
  • Able to manage contractors and vendors to deliver quality works and services.
  • A team player, able to work hands-on with good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Managing external contractors
