In this role you will handle a wide range of strategic communication related tasks for the Leadership Team of the Advanced Components Manufacturing Business Units In México.”

 

JOB PURPOSE

Delivers high-value communication to all audiences within the Advanced Components Manufacturing (ACM) facilities in Mexico. Defines, develops and implements communication and change management strategies for ACM. Supports the Operations Manager and ACM Mexico leaders, defining and implementing the overall Business communication strategy and plan, in order to increase the understanding and contribution of managers and employees to the strategy and challenges of ACM Mexico, reinforcing their engagement and hence the Business performance.

 
  

JOB DUTIES

  • Define the Business internal communication strategy and plan
  • Owns and develops strategic communication and change management plans for the division’s strategic priorities, initiatives and challenges.
  • Segmenting the audiences and addressing their specific needs
  • Acting as a translator of the strategy for all audiences in the Business, checking the understanding with feedback loops and bottom-up communication
  • Implementing and measuring the communication actions with the aim to continuously improve their quality and efficiency
  • Defining and managing the Internal Communication budget
  • Design the ACM Mexico Leader’s communication towards all employees in the Business.
  • Develop and monitor a managerial culture of dialogue between managers and team members. That includes providing coaching or training to business leaders.
  • Support the change and the business transformations, analysing their impact on people and designing the appropriate communication plan and actions to support the change management. Provides communication and change management support for major organizational changes, policy changes and new services.
  • Design the leadership and all employees events. Develops content, materials and messaging for internal meetings, including townhalls, all employee meetings and leadership conferences as related to assigned coverage areas. Defines, develops, implements and measures new and ongoing employee communications strategies for the group.
  • Design and implement, given the case, the crisis communication plan for the Business, aligned with the corporate process and guidelines. Define upstream clear roles and responsibilities and organize dedicated training if necessary.
  • Provide leadership to process teams to create a common change approach across different process areas.  In addition, conduct workshops to define the process, structure, people and cultural changes using the Caterpillar Change Management Framework.
  • In case of a Global Campaign launched at the global level, deploy Global Business specific messages – if any – to all employees in Business according to the deployment plan defined at the global level.
  • Serve as an advisor to leaders and project teams on the most effective method for communicating messages to employees. Creates/develops messages that are informative, timely and focus on the employee.
  • Be a pro-active member of the overall ACM Internal Communication team, contributing with ideas, knowledge and practices sharing. Challenging and accepting to be challenged.
  • Drives the adoption and application of best practices in the Caterpillar Organizational Change Management framework to mitigate risks and to drive early value-realization while achieving both tangible and intangible benefits as determined by the ACM strategy

Education/Experience

The incumbent must be familiar with the organization being served. The position typically requires a college or university degree in communications or equivalent experience. In addition, three to five years of job-related experience is typically required, preferably as a business unit or corporate communicator. The ability to maintain confidentiality, strong writing skills and experience, and excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside of the department. Advanced English
