This role is accountable for developing and executing a strategy working with suppliers to drive lean packaging execution and processes within the service parts network. This position will lead a team (direct and indirect reports) of packaging professionals and project managers to drive lean within the Aftermarket Supply Chain by collaborating closely with internal and external process partners including suppliers, packaging materials team, operations, supply chain, and customers within the organization.
Capabilities: Critical capabilities needed in this role are: Demonstrated Leadership Skills, Project Management, Understanding of Cross-Functional Business Units within Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement; Change Management and Negotiation Experience, and Supplier Management.
Customers: Typical internal customers include Parts Operations, Supply Chain and Caterpillar Product Groups. The position’s external customers will primarily include dealers.
Strategy: Aftermarket parts is driving lean within the Supply Chain with packaging as a key element and impact lever throughout the value chain. This position will impact key Aftermarket Parts goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, and Part Quality.
