Cat Digital’s Analytics team is looking for a talented and motivated Data Scientist to develop computer vision methods to support product development and product support applications.  As a computer vision data scientist, you will use image processing, machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to deliver computer vision solutions for autonomy and aftermarket solutions.


Basic Qualifications 

  • MS degree in Data Science or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Aerospace, or related fields) with emphasis in machine learning and computer vision
  • 2 years of project experience with Python and core data science libraries, including pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and scikit-learn
  • 1 year of project experience applying machine learning for computer vision including deep learning methods

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • PhD degree in Data Science or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Aerospace, or related fields) with emphasis in data science and computer vision
  • Experience in computer vision techniques using OpenCV, ROS (Robot Operating System), and PCL (point cloud library)
  • Proficiency in software development with C++
  • Understanding of complex electro-mechanical systems (engines, drivetrain, hydraulics, controls, structures, etc.)
  • Good understanding and, preferably, development experience within the Agile process
  • Practical knowledge of Cloud computing and software development for cloud environments
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-initiative
  • Works well in team environment
