Job Purpose:

This Finance Analyst position will effectively and independently perform staff level finance functions, with ability to learn and adapt quickly to a variety of work environments and circumstances.   

 

Job Duties:

This Finance Analyst is expected to apply technical expertise and finance knowledge to support processes, make front-line business decisions within defined area of responsibility, and resolve issues.  Incumbent will develop comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar’s business and finance policies and practices, systems and processes.  The incumbent will lead projects to conclusion by compiling information, analyzing data, recommending and implementing solutions

 

Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

 
  • Administer receivable collections and participate in debtor reviews
  • Primary backup for receivables factoring processes
  • Analyze and resolve escalated customer inquiries/disputes
  • Assist with Inventory 180 dealer financing program
  • Manage escalations for customer payment details
  • Participate in or lead new business opportunity projects
  • Assist Business Units with credit related functions and shipment holds
  • Support resolution of accounting reconciliations 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent preferably in finance, business administration, or accounting
  • 1-3 years of finance experience

  • Knowledge of company policies, practices, and systems
  • Knowledge of other business functions
  • Demonstrate initiative, leadership, judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively and independently with people at all levels within and outside the department
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent team leadership, human interaction, and communication skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to a variety of work environments and circumstances
  • Strong personal computer knowledge
