Caterpillar is currently seeking parallel Co-op Students passionate in Robotics, and Computer Vision at its Pittsburgh Automation Center in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role you will work on the exciting and technically challenging Automation Systems Development team. This team is responsible for developing perception and automation technologies, which are often used in conjunction with information systems, remote control, semi-autonomous, and fully autonomous machine control systems. While working part time at school, students could work at Caterpillar’s Pittsburgh Automation Center.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Student must be attending Carnegie Mellon - Freshman year through graduate students enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Computer Vision or Robotic Systems Development
  • Proficiency in using Matlab, C, C++
  • Course work in robotics or computer vision or perception
  • Cumulative GPA must be a minimum of 3.0 from current university

  • Leadership skills
  • Previous technical experience or internship
  • School affiliations or groups
