As a Commercial Consultant in Global Machine Pricing (GMP), you will lead North America merchandising projects and process improvement initiatives to transform pricing and merchandising strategy and execution.  Other key responsibilities include training and governance lead for merchandising as well as process collaboration across Industry business partners and GMP.  This role will work to co-develop merchandising strategies, that will help achieve enterprise goals (SV targets, PINS, OPACC and price realization), while ensuring compliance, simplification and global consistency.


Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead North America merchandising framework and simplification projects to enable effective merchandising and global consistency
  • Lead Dealer and Rep training in areas of merchandising framework communication, merchandising go to market, tactical merchandising changes
  • Establishing and reviewing revenue proposals for Caterpillar products. The process includes analysis of sales history, volume forecast, competition, product quality, product availability, value premiums, costs and related factors. 
  • Working with Marketing, Global Machine Pricing to support and create revenue recommendations. 
  • Engage voice of dealer and business partners to support simplification initiatives
  • Develop and maintain internal audit and compliance control documentation including responsibility for the testing and validation of these controls

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree concentrated in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, engineering or sales and marketing related fields 
  • At least 5 years of experience as a pricing/revenue analyst, finance analysis, sales, marketing, or accounting.

  • Strong analytical ability
  • Initiative, results oriented 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Knowledge of various Caterpillar products, product applications, merchandising programs and business systems
