Caterpillar Defense currently has an opening for a Defense Aftermarket Solutions Rep. This position will ideally be located in Georgia, Virginia or Tennessee.  This position will be responsible for covering the Eastern half of the United States which will require significant travel.  In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue and growth for Lifecycle Solutions (LCS) aftermarket business (to incl. parts, service, training, rebuild) in line with Caterpillar Defense strategy in the assigned territory, communicated targets and by following established sales processes focused on the end customer. This will be achieved in close collaboration with the respective stakeholders (customer/dealer) where the incumbent under direction of LCS management will provide leadership, guidance and counsel to optimize sales and services processes effectiveness, in addition to leveraging opportunity management systems and processes to Caterpillar’s benefit, while recognizing and respecting the customer’s mission and independence of dealer.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

*  Conduct regular visits to assigned military installations to provide maintenance and repair support of Caterpillar machines and engines

*  Identify and communicate opportunities for improving aftermarket solutions growth, marketing and operational capabilities at assigned dealers directly in support of the assignment military installations

*  Identify incremental opportunities for SLEP and/or RESET of machines in assigned territory

*  Provide diagnostic and maintenance service training for Caterpillar engines and machines to assigned military installations

*  Work with Cat Dealers to ensure quality and velocity of SLEP rebuilds and ensure dealers adhere to the contractual requirements

*  The position requires for more than 75 percent of travel. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


*  University degree with 3+ years of (Cat dealer/military) experience or 5+ years of experience without a degree


*  Understanding of military maintenance practices for machines and engines


*  Strong business acumen


*  Proficient analytics tools user


*  Intermediate knowledge of customer solutions (parts products, service offerings, solution offerings)


*  Experience with military and service training


*  Excellent influencing skills at all levels


Top Candidates will also have:


*  Min 3-5 years Caterpillar field technician experience


*  Min 3-5 years military experience


*  Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with others in the work group


*  Ability to work on increasingly complex assignments and provide direction to others


*  Interpersonal skills


*  Strong communication & presentation skills


*  Team player


*  Self-starter, able to work autonomously


*  Strong accountability


*  Ability to work with people from different backgrounds and cultures
