Job Title: Commercial Lead  
Salary: £51000 to £56000 (Depending on Experience) 
Benefits: 25 days annual leave,    

                 18% bonus

                 Car Allowance - £7000

                 Contributory pension scheme- Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution Up to 10%

                 Contributory share scheme- Caterpillar will matched 50% of the employee's contribution

                 CAT Advantage 

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire        
Relocation/ Sponsorship: Not supported with this role

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Reporting to the 3rd Party Engines Commercial Manager you will be working as part of a diverse global team with responsibility for: 
-Developing and owning the foundational commercial strategies, policies and processes 
- Developing product and commercial strategies across the end to end product lifecycle to grow sales and profit 
- Ensuring process consistency, policy development and implementing governance structures 
- Collaborating with the Product Management, Engineering, Sales and Marketing functions to develop strategies and specific value propositions 
- Analysing new business opportunities and making pricing recommendations 
- Running projects to deliver specific product line and range wide opportunities 
- Analysing the competitive landscape and our own product portfolio to identify opportunities 
- Gaining detailed understanding of customer business models to identify areas of competitive advantage 
- Demonstrating the impact of business cases, and new strategies on future profit streams 
- Assessing and prioritising business cases 


Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

• Bachelors Degree in a business, finance, or technical field or post-graduate MBA - consideration will be given to other qualifications or significant relevant experience in lieu of this.
• Substantial relevant experience. - Strong ability to study trends and formulate data that lead to commercial strategies for markets, products and technologies 
• Strong, fact and data-based analytical skills – but also comfortable working with ambiguous data sets 
• Strong customer focus and the ability to understand what drives customers business models 
• Excellent written and oral communications skills, ability to crisply and concisely convey complex information, including the development of presentations for senior management 
• Experience of 6 Sigma or demonstrated process focus and a structured approach to problem solving

Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

• Excellent team working skills and the ability to successfully work and build relationships across a diverse global teams 
• Ability to achieve results through influence, and the ability to work with and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organisation 
• High levels of initiative, leadership and good judgment 
• Demonstrated experience within a global business 
• Similar industry coverage or experience in related sectors (beneficial but not essential)
