TX FAME – Advanced Manufacturing Technician


The TX FAME Program allows students the opportunity to work at Caterpillar while attending classes at a local college to earn an Associate’s degree as an Advanced Manufacturing Technician. This is a 2 year work experience program with Caterpillar in Seguin.

Responsibilities:
College freshmen considered for part time positions within the facilities engineering department should have a basic understanding of facilities engineering or manufacturing principles, logistics, and computer skills.

All positions require working in a team environment and demonstrating quality customer service. Responsibilities may vary, but may include: attending meetings, audits for the dept., standard work development, metric data review and or adjustments. Other administrative duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age as of March 1, 2020. 
  • Must have maintained a 2.4 / 4.0 cumulative GPA during high school.
  • Provide transcript
  • Must be college ready. Registered as a freshman for Fall 2020 in the TXFAME Program.
  • Must be registered in TXFame Program by January 6, 2020.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work at least 30 hours per week during the summer of 2020
  • Participation in school clubs and organizations
  • Meet Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

This is a paid position.



These are part time temporary openings located in the San Antonio, Seguin and Schertz area.


Relocation is not available.
