This total life cycle approach allows us to provide sustainable solutions that help our customers build a better world. Caterpillar Oil, Gas & Marine Division currently has an opening for a Demand & Order Analyst supporting Remanufactured engines located in Mississippi. As D&O Scheduling Analyst with Caterpillar you will have an opportunity to assist in the effective, timely and economical scheduling of our remanufactured material.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing purchase requisitions from Caterpillar facilities operating groups and, when necessary, which best serves requirements when work done outside is needed.
  • Initiating request for quotations as required to establish best cost, quality and delivery. 
  • Applying knowledge of similar parts, material or tooling, etc., analyzing details of each quote for conformance to requirements and selecting supplier. Results of analysis are used for purchases, make/buy studies, new product cost evaluations, new process evaluations, etc. 
  • Working with plant personnel to evaluate, select and when appropriate, outsource various maintenance, storage, rework, etc. 
  • Contributing to initiation and implementation of cost reduction projects to meet OPACC Improvement objectives.
  • Reviewing engineering change and release notices, working to establish best Just In Time delivery and economical lot sizes, and expediting material as necessary. 
  • Enter assembly orders, release production reclaim orders, expedite material, collaborate with procurement team when finished material is needed to cover gap, manage NPU and report inventory key performance indicators.
  • Communicate order status to customers through appropriate channels and ensure product is invoiced on time.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis, make recommendations and where applicable implement Corrective Action Plans for issues involving the production schedule and customer delivery.
  • Work closely with management team and associates in marketing, sales, operations and engineering to identify and resolve reclaim production schedule interruptions.
  • Manage capacity planning for specific production cells to meet S&OP targets.
  • Ensure that all schedules can be processed efficiently by managing MRP II system issues for that product.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
3 years of supply chain or manufacturing-related work experience 
Advanced skills in MS Access and MS Excel

Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Good interpersonal, communications, teamwork and collaboration skills 
Familiarity with engineering and manufacturing standards, practices, and prints 
Familiarity with various materials management systems  (LMS, Inventory, etc)
Knowledge of shop operations and assembly procedures 
Familiarity with MRP systems such as MAMM, QAD, and/or SAP
At least 1 year of scheduling experience

Additional Information:
This position will require flexibility to operate at both the Booneville & Corinth, MS locations.
