This is a position which independently or as part of a team will be focused on improvements in specific areas of the Caterpillar Quality Management System, CQMS. These areas may include scrap reduction, document control, and data collection and monitoring of processes. It will also assist in addressing improvements for manufacturing processing, tool design, equipment layout and standards development. 


This position is located in Boonville, Missouri with the expectations of working part time during the school year and possibly full time in the summer.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs:  Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering / Technology, Industrial Distribution, Manufacturing Engineering / Technology, Manufacturing Systems, Mechanical Engineering / Technology, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or General Engineering
  • Minimum 2.8/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding)
  • Graduation date December 2020 and beyond
  • Applicant must attend 4-year university within driving distance to the facility in which they will be working (Boonville, Missouri)
  • Applicant must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during the school year and full time during the summer

Desired Qualifications:
  • Leadership experience
  • Previous co-op, internship or work experience within a manufacturing environment and/or supply chain
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and interpersonal skills
