The Student Trainee Program allows students the opportunity to work at Caterpillar while going to school.

Responsibilities:

  • Student Trainees will work approximately 15-20 hours a week in Caterpillar’s Griffin facility.
  • Unpacking and preparing components on a tray to get ready to be placed into production.
  • Adding a washer and lubricant to a bolt to prepare the bolt to be placed into production.
  • Installing a bolt into the spray jet assembly, and placing a rocker arm on a fixture to install a spring, snap ring, and locating pin.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• Must be a High School Senior participating in your school's work based learning program.
• Must have prior use of basic hand tools

• Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week while attending school full time.

• Must have basic computer skills

• Must have reliable transportation to the Griffin, GA facility


Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to perform repetitive operations
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.


Top Candidates Will Also Have:
• Interest in a potential career in manufacturing
• Aptitude for assembly and mechanical work.
• Ability to follow documented procedures for standard work, to perform work safely and free of defects.


These are part time temporary openings located in Griffin, GA. Relocation is not available.
Work hours are 7:30AM - 11:00AM.
