The Griffin, Georgia facility manufactures 3516 and C175 enclosures serving the following industries: electric power, oil & gas, marine applications and Cat machines around the world. Caterpillar Electric Power Division currently has an opening for an Operations Team Member II - V-Line position supporting the Griffin, GA facility. As an Operations Team Member you will be responsible for installing enclosure components in a variety of Electric Power Products.
Experience utilizing hand tools, various power tools (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical), and/or various air tools.
Previous experience in building enclosure product.
Minimum of 12 months manufacturing experience
Experience reading and understanding factory orders, blue prints, schematics, work tickets, torque specifications.
Experience with standard work instructions (basic skills/knowledge, capable of functioning independently)
Experience with torque and assembly requirements for all parts and assembly procedures (basic skills/knowledge, capable of functioning independently)
Experience with leak
test machines (or relevant), hand tools, various power tools (hydraulic,
pneumatic, electrical), and various air tools.
One year of previous assembly or troubleshooting/repairing/operating equipment experience
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Incumbent will need to be able to read and understand factory orders, blue prints, schematics, work tickets, torque specifications and be able to work in basic Cat computer systems.
Incumbent should be able to understand and perform torque and assembly requirements for all parts and assembly procedures.
Incumbent should be able
to follow standard work instructions
Must be able to work safely and maintain that focus throughout the day.
Position requires daily communication with supporting departments as needed to ensure their work is correct and accurate.
Some positions require the ability to perform tasks under time constraints.
Physical Requirements:Candidates for all positions must have the ability to work in a fast pace, medium to heavy duty assembly, technical environment.
