Typically, this person will be a part of the Factory Integration team at one or more facilities, or on a Corporate level support team. This person will provide expertise in one or more areas related to supporting a manufacturing facility. They will be the point of contact when designing new solutions, current solutions need an update, or there are inherent problems that cannot be resolved by Level 1 or Level 2 support.

Key Skills/Experiences
5+ years’ experience with the tool, process, or support function.
Knowledge of how tool integrates with operations and business process

Qualifications

Requirements:

Candidate must have a 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Manufacturing with 5 – 7 years progressive IT experience.
Candidate must have 3-5 years of experience supporting Factory IT Systems or related applications (i.e. Pinpoint, Freedom e log, Weld Robot software, etc.)
 
Additional desirable skills:

Base knowledge Cisco network hardware and software. 
Ability to communicate with business partners effectively including more senior positions such as Factory Managers, Supply Chain Managers, etc..
Desire to obtain business acumen and gain a deep understanding of Caterpillar business and manufacturing operations and related processes
Ability to provide guidance and approval of IT needs for Facility Capital Projects
Availability to work off-shift when needed for systems changes or be on a call rotation to provide support should any production systems be down on an evening or weekends.
Job requires extensive active movement throughout plant including but not limited to Climbing stairs and steps, lifting of devices and pushing and pulling of equipment.  
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time as well as being a collaborative team member 
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, overlapping projects
Able to respond to demanding target dates 
Ability to provide facility tours highlighting how information technology supports the factory environment
A good understanding of Factory Firewalls {Tufin} and how devices are secured and managed within a firewalled environment
A good understanding of a factory network landscape including machining centers, HMI software, PLC’s and IOT technology, etc.
Ability to create and maintain standard work / support documentation.
Prior experience working with Cloud solutions and vendor providers
Prior experience with data collection systems and solutions for factory devices (i.e. OEE data collection)
Understand IT Service Management and ITIL based support processes (Incident Management, Change Management Problem management)
Experience designing, implementing or supporting control systems
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory. 
Knowledge of Handheld Scanners and their operation in a factory environment 
Working knowledge of iPad and Windows Tablet and working within a Business network.
