Job Description


As an Information Technology (IT) Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills, assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions that enable Caterpillar success. Further, you will contribute real value by developing, integrating, and/or supporting in-house and purchased applications or infrastructure solutions in order to solve business problems.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Working directly on application / technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions
* Participating in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components
* Working with vendors on the integration of purchased application(s) and/or infrastructure
* Designing and implementing processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support.



Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science; or computer engineering; or equivalent IT related degree required


Required Technical Skills & Experience:

  • More than 7 years of SAP EWM implementation or EWM maintenance/support experience required

  • Candidate must provide demonstrated functional knowledge in SAP EWM with expertise in Inbound, Outbound and Internal processes

  • Candidate must provide demonstrated knowledge of expertise in SAP archiving in either the EWM or ECC components using the SARA transaction

  • Candidate should have knowledge of EWM, ECC, SPP & CRM integration and various other SAP interfaces

  • Candidate should have experience/knowledge in SAP ABAP OOPS in development and maintenance / support projects.

  • Experience in Design, Code, Test and Debug programs of varying levels of complexity

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Provide Solution Performance (analysis/tuning) and work across business/technology teams to ensure alignment between business solution definition & systems architecture for the organization

  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s team, as well as, being a collaborative team member

  • Analyze user requests and software requirements for feasibility of design and potential impact while cognizant of time and cost constraints    

  • Strong ability to identify, interpret and evaluate user and system requirements

  • Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues

  • Able to respond to demanding target dates

  • Able to work outside of first shift, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and on-call rotations

  • Able to travel globally


Desired Skills:

  • Candidate should have knowledge in SAP ABAP development (coding, testing and debugging)
