Description

The Mechanical / Wiring Technician will interpret mechanical assembly drawings to assemble and fabricate electric power system projects. Candidate must have the ability to use various hand tools as it relates to sub-pan and systems assemblies. Candidate must also be able to work within a project team environment and take direction from Project Lead/Supervisor/Manager.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Assemble sub-pans, door devices and other pertinent power equipment with minimal supervision according to ISO standards and drawings.
Understand the difference between A/C and D/C voltages and able to accurately and timely perform all wiring duties on sub panels, door devices and enclosures. 
Able to apply hardware, engravings, and components according to ISO
Standards.
Understand how to read part numbers and attach parts to sub panels, door devices and enclosures.
Perform all other duties accurately, timely and be able to meet schedule
deadlines.
Able to perform any other duties assigned by Lead Person /Supervisor/Manager.
Understand the usage of hardware such as screws, bolts, nuts, washers,
And tools according to Procedures Manual.
Read and interpret blue prints
Read parts list
Gather tools and material
Position parts and sub-assemblies
Interpret measurements
Verify specifications
Assemble components
Ensure all parts are fitted and fastened properly
Alter dimensions to fit specification
Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs
Keep a clean and safe working environment
Report errors in product line
Complete quality control forms
Participate in product development

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
Experience reading and interpreting mechanical schematics
Experience interpreting dimensional drawings
Experience with various tools: hand  tools, band saw, jig saw, hole punch, tape measure
1 to 3 years of related work experience

Top Candidates Will Also Have:
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to learn new process and procedure within a limited time-frame
Ability to work within a project team with limited supervision and perform tasks within an expectable time-frame

Physical Requirements:
Ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time
Ability to produce door penetrations with mechanical aids

Additional Information:
Shift: 1st
Work Hours: Monday - Thursday 5AM-3:30PM
Work Location: Alpharetta, GA
Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour
This position is temporary and is generally expected to work 40 hours per week. Temporary full-time employees may be eligible for some CAT benefits, including healthcare benefits.
