This position is responsible for assisting 6-Sigma Blackbelts and Manufacturing Engineers in supporting the manufacturing floor. Job roles include but not limited to collecting and analyzing data, creating and maintaining standard work and designing production tooling to aid assembly and machine shop related processes on new and existing engine machine and assembly process lines.
- Investigate, improve and implement process related Standard Work
- Investigate quality related opportunities throughout the process
- Work with Assembly Technicians and Manufacturing Engineers to develop production tooling
- Data collection and analysis to support 6-Sigma Blackbelts to improve manufacturing processes utilizing Lean Manufacturing

Applicant must be enrolled in a university in the Lafayette, IN area and be able to work Part Time while attending school Full Time
Must be enrolled full time at a
4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Engineering Management, Industrial
Engineering / Technology, Industrial Distribution, Manufacturing Engineering /
Technology, Manufacturing Systems, Mechanical Engineering / Technology,
Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
General Engineering, Technical Systems Management, Agricultural Engineering,
Agricultural Systems Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management,
Logistics, Management Information Systems, or Business
Administration/Management with a focus in Supply Chain, Statistics, Math or
Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
graduation date in December 2020 or beyond
Must have good computer skills and adept in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
Proven leadership skills
Previous technical internship
This position is a 10 to 15 hour per week assignment during the school year with the opportunity to work 40 hours per week during school breaks and during the summer months located in Lafayette, IN.
Relocation is not available for this position.
