Analytics Professionals are the data driven, business professionals using quantitative methods such as data analytics, business process modeling, data mining, and advanced statistical techniques to solve problems for internal business partners and external Caterpillar customers.

Work at the Caterpillar data innovation lab will focus on exploration of emerging and disruptive techniques, data-based technologies, as well as advanced analytics technologies, often demonstrated through proof of concept projects. Projects will be forward thinking and at the edge of Caterpillar’s business model. The lab is vibrant, cross-disciplinary work environment designed to stimulate innovation and creative problem solving.
As an Analytics Part-Time Student Intern, you will be immersed in our business data as well as introduced to analytics tools and techniques, enabling you to provide insights that drive business decisions. Some of the projects may involve research in:
**Note: This position includes the expectation that the candidate will work part time hours during the school year with the potential to work full time during the summer. Additionally, this position requires the ability to work daily, on-site at our Champaign, Illinois facility.
