As a member of Caterpillar’s Mining and Technical Development Program, you will be part of a globally based team participating in rotational assignments focused on developing your industry, product, application and technical knowledge as well as a strong understanding of the Caterpillar Dealer network. The well-defined rotational program is tailored to developing successful field reps (technical or commercial) and future site performance managers.
The position will be based in Santiago, but will include a one-year assignment in the USA to participate in the marketing training class in Peoria, IL and rotations in Tucson, AZ. Following completion of the rotational assignments (approximately 36 months), you will move to a field-based position supporting Caterpillar Dealers and customers. This is an entry-level position designed to build the employees skill sets within the mining industry and to help prepare them for future rep positions.

Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degrees
GPA requirements 2.8/4.0 scale
Must have an advanced level of written and spoken English and Spanish.
Must be willing to travel extensively (50 – 70%)
Must be willing and able to relocate domestically/internationally based upon business need
Relevant internship or work experience related to Mining
Leadership experience within a student or extracurricular organization
Strong ability to work independently and to communicate with others in a variety of work environments
Ability to guide change and solve problems
