Job Description


As an Engineer Manager, you will coach, guide and facilitate the development of a work group to develop collaborative relationships among themselves, as well as with customers, suppliers and other functional groups to ensure goals are achieved. You will also provide managerial and technical direction in product / process design, development or research. You will create and maintain an organizational climate / culture which encourages innovation, collaboration, excitement / commitment and a sense of urgency towards business success. Work group size will vary from 5-10 employees with a budget to $2M to $5M. You will continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, develop as a strategic thinker, and deepen your professional network.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Drive the Product Strategy development
  • Lead Product Development – including awareness of process and capital needs and the effect of changes on the factories / suppliers
  • Work closely with MBD Teams for machine integration / profitability – be a trusted advisor
  • Have deep technical knowledge about the Undercarriage, Machines, Customer Applications, Suppliers, and processes to produce the products.
  • Focus on the long range business strategy – (ie.. PER is in their SMART Goals)
  • Model strong and positive communication with internal and external customers
  • Drive and defend undercarriage intellectual property
  • Hire and Develop the right people for the team.
  • Plan CPI, NPI, NTI, & Capital Budgets
  • Manage team’s budget on cost
  • Mentor and coach direct reports


Basic Qualifications:
  • 10+ years undercarriage experience
  • Accredited engineering degree
  • Knowledge of UC Manufacturing / Processes
  • Knowledge of UC Customers / Applications
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven team leadership skills

Top candidates will also have: 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or Materials
