This is a Global Product Application Specialist role which will serve as a global expert in the field of Motor Graders (MGs). Role will provide deep product and application expertise to the MG Global Product Group – including the MG New Product Introduction (NPI) Manager, WW Market Manager, Chief Engineer and WW Product Manager during various NPI phases - in terms of voice of the customer collection/communication, development of functional specifications and critical customer requirements. Will also be engaged in competitive tests, evaluations and analysis. Will lead our Global Marketing Team (GMT) consisting of Regional Production Application Specialists (RPAS), Product Marketing Consultants (PMCs) and other product experts. This position is a key member of the MG launches focused on Global Training Pack, training the RPASs and coordinating the marketing machines globally. This position is also leading our requirements for MG Annual Product Updates.
Lead GCI’s Global Customer Product and Functional Requirements’ development in support of MG NPI programs. Responsible for developing global critical customer product application requirements and product functional specifications for input to the WW Product Group’s NPI programs and gaining approval from the WW PM and VP’s at the NPI Gate Reviews for MG. Specifically:
-Owns GCI’s marketing requirements and VOC input to New Product Introduction Development: This includes the collection, prioritization and communication of Voice of the Customer, Voice of Dealer, Voice of Machine and Voice of Expert.
-Defines value of new product features, functional and technical specifications and general product requirements. Including forecasting, PINs and pricing recommendations. Support Value Analysis work for NPI teams especially related to competitive performance, features, maintenance and repair costs.
-Identify, manage and provide reports on competitive performance studies, feature/benefit comparisons and maintenance and repair cost analysis.
-Apply knowledge of products, technology, industry, customers etc., into strategic planning and Product Group Multi-Generational Product Planning (MGPP). Incumbents may mentor less experienced personnel.
-Key member of the MG launches responsible for the Global Training Pack execution, training the RPASs and coordinating the marketing machines globally.
-Leads GCI’s functional requirements and launch for the Annual Product Updates 2019 and 2020.
