Job Description


As an Information Technology (IT) Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple infrastructure components or applications. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills, assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions that enable Caterpillar success. Further, you will contribute real value by developing, integrating, and/or supporting in-house and purchased applications or infrastructure solutions in order to solve business problems.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

*Supporting Caterpillar Cybersecurity tools and response processes

*Working directly on application / technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions

*Participating in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components

*Working with vendors on the integration of purchased application(s) and/or infrastructure

*Designing and implementing processes, or process improvements, to aid in development and support


Required Qualifications:

*Two years or more of full-time progressively responsible IT job-related experiences

*One year or more of full-time experience on a Computer Security Incident Response Team

*Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited 4-year university/college


Desired Qualifications:

*Proficiency in computer programming languages, specifically Python

*Experience with supporting computer hardware

*Experience with supporting cybersecurity endpoint agents

*Knowledge of cybersecurity incident response handling

*Knowledge of the latest technology in programming languages, computing hardware & software and current development processes and tools

*Cybersecurity Industry certifications, such as GIAC GCIH, GIAC GCFA, or CISSP

*Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and interpersonal skills

*Strong problem solving and customer service skills

*Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed

*Ability to work independently and manage time as well as being a collaborative team member

*Able to manage own duties including setting priorities
