Job Description


As a Demand Specialist, you will lead the MH&U OEM Solutions S&OP process, working with internal Account Managers across all industries to ensure we are capturing worldwide customer (CAT Dealers and external customers) demand that provides accurate and reliable forward-looking critical component & machine forecast signals that results in actions taken by the relevant business partners to ensure maximum availability is achieved that meets customer expectation and required delivery date.


Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Mange end to end S&OP process for OEM Solutions.
  • Work directly with Account Managers and Sales Account Coordinators to establish WW dealer and OEM customer forecasts related to partial machines, undercarriage, power modules, and components.
  • Prepare and present monthly demand reviews to leadership.
  • Ensure the demand signals captured through the forecasting cycle are analysed and realistic compared to industry trends, past sales, and Account Manager input.
  • Coordinate monthly supply reviews with the Order to Delivery and Engineering teams, ensuring they can support the upcoming demand from a supply and technical background.
  • Coordinate and prepare Executive S&OP summary for leadership monthly.
  • Provide the relevant feedback to OEM team regarding the decisions made and actions taken based on the monthly S&OP cycle.
  • Maintain and manage standard business metrics surrounding measurements including but not limited to; customer delivery performance, forecast accuracy, revenue/profit tracking, industry trends, build conformance, inventory levels, invoicing tracking.
  • Benchmark other groups S&OP process internally and externally.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university

  • Project management experience

Top candidates will also have:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability work well in a team environment

  • High level of flexibility.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written).

  • Time management and organizational skills.

  • Customer focused.

  • Familiarity with Cat product line and parts major classes.

  • Solid understanding of Cat parts distribution and operations.

  • Ability to work well with middle and upper management levels at Cat, dealers, and customers.

  • Experience working with dealers and/or customers.

  • Black Belt trained.

  • Supply chain experience.
