Provides Mach1 SAP support to Caterpillar Data Stewards & Authorized Requestors on master data management related needs thru service requests using ServiceNow. Scope includes Global data shared by multiple facilities excluding transactional and local data items.
Incumbent has basic degree of expertise across multiple SAP instances (CBS, Mach1, CGM, etc.), works on service requests with higher degree of complexity and business impact, performs independently and requires lower degree of supervision, understands and uses mass data load tools, identifies & delivers
value creation opportunities and provides guidance to less experienced analysts.
Responsible to keep SAP in sync with corporate applications, adherence to corporate practices and policies pertaining to master data & execute periodic sanitary data checks. Maintains process controls aligned to SOx ensuring business unit is compliant with FAB guidelines.
Main customers are located in USA and Europe facilities. Serves other customers such as CACD, E&Y, PwC & IC team and proactively maintains action plans to strength data completeness, accuracy and validity. Work queue is monitored via ServiceNow
console and executed by urgency, business impact and service level.
This is a centralized support role & enabler of business downstream processes by delivering cost-effective and efficient management for global master data in Mach1 SAP. Delivers value creation resulted from having timely available the pieces of information required by functional areas to operate effectively, allowing for example to place purchase orders, receive material and issue invoices.
Responsible for managing the sub-sets of data and system views for the following domains: Vendor, Customer, Material, Exchange rates, Banking data.
Fluent in English, SAP expertise, Basic business acumen (S2P, R2R, etc.), Experience working with global and multifunctional teams, Customer service experience and Solution design skills, Professional degree, Use of ServiceNow, Proficient in Excel, Ability to work on more than one assignment at a time, Prioritize work items depending on urgency and service level.
Knowledgeable in Cat practices, policies & controls pertaining to master data, IT skills, Use of corporate tools : SharePoint, ETQ, Teams, SIA, Lognet, CDID.
