The Global Finance Services (GFSD) Division has an exciting opportunity available as a Change Management Consultant based in Peoria, IL or Deerfield, IL
The change management consultant will provide strategic and operational change management leadership to the Global Finance Services Division (GFSD). This role will drive the adoption and application of best practices in the Caterpillar Organizational Change Management framework to mitigate risks and to drive early value-realization while achieving both tangible and intangible benefits as determined by the GFSD strategy which includes our global finance transformation.
This role will provide leadership to identify the internal and external change stakeholders and anyone of impact and then partnering with communications and learning to provide guidance and recommendations of what is needed from them, as well as maintain overall control of the master change plan. This role will gain input from a variety of sources that play into the recommendation for communications to stakeholders. This role will listen, gather feedback and provide recommendations to the communications representative and learning manager on what education and reinforcement is needed for the various stakeholder audiences. This candidate is accountable for managing ongoing voices of input to the business through strong business acumen. Additionally, the role oversees creating the effective deliverables for which input is received for the communication, learning and reinforcement plan in addition to partnership with the project management office (PMO). This role will create, deliver and own the change plan for the GFSD strategy which entails ongoing understanding and awareness of the strategy, it’s deliverables/concerns and resistance issues.
*Lead change management for the GFSD strategy- inclusive of change planning, determining GFSD specific messages, appropriate enterprise specific messages, content review, and communication
*Lead change management to embed strategic changes from the GFSD strategy
*Lead training for business partners to learn content of the GFSD strategy and their role in it - inclusive of change planning, content creation, and communication
Strategic Change Management
Provide consulting to GFSD leadership team, Lead HR Manager, Communication team, HR team, and partner with identified Business Unit Leaders and their teams on effective change management to mitigate identified risks and to achieve the realization and intangible benefits of all change products.
Execute effective change management program strategy to include organization and culture design, reward systems and learning management. Provide leadership to business unit management to build their burning platform, create buy-in to the change, understand sponsorship responsibilities, provide input to communication messages driven by communications representative, define process-structure-cultural-people changes needed and build sustainability into the change.
Systematically evaluate the critical variables in GFSD and creatively develop customized and unique strategic and operational change management programs responsible for developing and implementing complicated change plans integrating all global projects.
Provide formal training and consulting on Organizational Change Management to process partners and leaders in GFSD. Serve as the change expert in leading change agents in GFSD and global business units to effectively use the change framework to develop their functional change strategy and to systematically apply change management to the life cycle of organizational change. Spearhead the growth of a network of change agents and change management expertise by providing on-going support to their change management journeys.
Provide leadership to process teams to create a common integrated change approach across different process areas. In addition, conduct workshops to define the process, structure, people and cultural changes across functional divisions. Coach sponsors and change agents on their respective roles.
*A college or university degree in Business in addition to 3 -5 years of job related experience
*In lieu of degree, 6-8 years of job related experience
*Multi-business unit experience
