This Senior Information Technology Analyst job, responsible for GTS support and Order to Cash IT solutions, focusses on 2 main areas. A global role in the GTS team as SPM GTS expert with specific focus on EAME customs requirements and a Solution Specialist role for EAME Order to Cash processes. These roles require specialized technical knowledge of GTS and a broad foundational knowledge of IT and technological capabilities that will form solutions with exceptional OPACC value for our business partners. It will require in-depth knowledge of Grimbergen O2C processes and the skills to keep that knowledge up to date.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Provides application and technical leadership for major business systems integration and implementation projects.
Applies systems solutions to business/technical problems through customer interactions, and by providing assistance to less experienced analysts in the design, programming, debugging, testing, and integration/implementation of complex, medium to large-sized automated information technology systems.
Competent to perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision.
Working directly on application / technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions
Performs integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results
Fully knowledgeable of the relevant programming languages, program design and specification development, programming logic, logic diagrams, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and internal systems and cross platform infrastructure components; can provide training on these topics for others;
Participating in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components
The incumbent should be knowledgeable of the relevant programming languages; computing hardware and software; infrastructure elements, and current development processes and tools, as well as the existing systems supporting the customs and O2C business processes.
Significant experience in the following: GTS, Seeburger, project management, customer and business relationship managment
Requires a relevant degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience. Knowledge of multiple programming languages and environments and demonstrated skills to adopt and apply new environments. In addition, the incumbent should have a good knowledge of Caterpillar policies and procedures, and a general understanding of Caterpillar’s organization. Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following areas: Procurement, Dealer relations, and Customs. Business degree or certification in logistics (e.g. APICS). Demonstrated collaboration skills with regional and global teams.
